GEN- R
Greater Memphis and surrounding areas are experiencing a renaissance that is transforming family histories and building new legacies.
The (Gen-R) Generation Renaissance Program supports 16-24 year olds, 7th and 8th graders and their TANF-eligible families as they move towards realizing their dreams.
Families are supported in becoming a new generation of makers, entrepreneurs, innovators, and inventors. We call this new generation of families Gen-R.
Gen- R families emerging in Memphis are determined to transform their lives, the lives of their communities, and their city. They are building on the history and legacy of great musicians, restaurant owners, social change- agents, and cultural leaders from Memphis and surrounding areas.
